Become a Master Gardener Through UGA Griffin!

Oct 26, 2015 03:00PM, Published by Jake Gentry, Categories: Lifestyle, Community, Today

UGA Griffin’s Agriculture and Natural Resources extension is opening up their Master Gardener volunteer program for beginner and expert gardeners alike. The program is designed to train participants to become effective volunteers in horticulture and gardening. Lots of topics will be  covered, including insects, diseases, soil, turf, vegetables, fruits, trees, and much more.

The Master Gardener program is a fantastic way to learn more about gardening, meet other people with a passion for horticulture, and volunteer in the community! Even better; completion of the program will get you certified as a Master Gardener, and you’ll be able to apply your new skills to any number of home projects and volunteer opportunities.

Applications close at 5:00 PM on October 30, so hurry! To get the paperwork and more information visit the UGA Spalding Extension’s website.
