2016 Georgia Historical Society Trustees Gala Announced
The Georgia Historical Society is hosting their annual Trustees Gala in February 2016, and they’ve announced “Dare to Dream” as the theme for the event. The theme is inspired by the Georgia businesses that have set our state apart and changed the world, and it’s a little nod to the sophistication and innovation of the Mad Men era.
The event will be hosted at the Hyatt Regency in Savannah, and it’ll feature Governor Nathan Deal’s induction of Muhtar Kent, Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Coca-Cola Company and James H. Blanchard, Retired Chairman of the Board and CEO of Synovus as the Georgia Historical Society’s newest Trustees.
“The Trustees Gala is the one night each year when business, political, philanthropic and community leaders from across our state gather to honor the best that our state has produced so it has to be a special evening for our honorees and guests,” said Dr. W. Todd Groce, Chairman and CEO of the Georgia Historical Society. So if you’re looking for a reason to head down to Savannah (and you’re a fan of Georgia history, dancing, dinner, meeting interesting people, or just a good party) here’s your chance to mingle with the folks preserving Georgia’s historical resources and have a great time in one of our state’s most beautiful cities. Tickets open to the public November 1, 2015, and as soon as they’re available you can get yours at GeorgiaHistoryFestival.org.
