The Griffin-Spalding County Parks, Public Grounds, and Leisure Services Department has announced the date of this year’s “Festival of Lights” celebration, and it is planned to be bigger than ever!
Festivities begin at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24 at Griffin’s Airport Park. Children can visit with Santa, enjoy fishing, Elf School, Penguin Bowling, the Snowball Throw, Frosty’s Flurries, Penguin Pass, and “The Santa Zone” featuring S’more making, games, prizes, and more!
Treats like hot chocolate, coffee, soft drinks, hamburgers, hot dogs, and nachos will be available for purchase from the 4-H club.
Airport Road will be closed to vehicle and foot traffic beginning at 5:00 PM, park at the Roses shopping center and a shuttle bus will take groups to the event. For your safety, The Parks Department requests that you take the shuttles and do not walk.
