Celebrating in Southern Style: McDonough's Geranium Drop 2016!
“Avoid the hectic crowds in Atlanta, and still enjoy an evening packed full of excitement, as the Geranium Drop rings in 2016!” invites Christy Collier, Tourism Director for McDonough Hospitality & Tourism. McDonough’s Mayor, Billy Copeland, will kick off the 3rd Annual Geranium Drop New Year’s Eve event on December 31 at 8pm. The family-friendly event is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and friends to gather on the downtown McDonough square.
Jason Fowler, Mackie Creek Bank and McDonough Rhythm Section along with DJ Danny Ray will be entertaining all night! Dance the year away on the McDonough square as midnight approaches … and the giant, brightly-lit Geranium Drops!
Downtown restaurants will be open with dinner and drink specials. Attendees won’t go hungry with the many choices off the McDonough square, including Kirby G’s, Pasta Max, Season’s Bistro, PJ’s Cafe, Gritz, just to name a few. Some may require advance reservations, please contact them directly and note their holiday hours.
