Master Your Herbs!

Apr 05, 2016 03:08PM, Published by Jake Gentry, Categories: Lifestyle, Community, Today

The backyard herb garden is a great way to get outside in the sunshine, try out a hobby that can last a lifetime, beautify your yard, and most importantly: feed your family fresh, healthy herbs. UGA's Spalding County Extension is hosting a Home Grown Series class on growing herbs in your garden on April 12! Dr. Bodie Pennisi will discuss the cultural practices for successfully growing herbs as well as their culinary and medicinal uses.  Registration, $5, is required by calling 770-467-4225 or email uge2255@uga.edu. The class will be held at the Extension office, 835 Memorial Drive at 6:30. Seating is limited, call early to reserve your spot.
