The 19th Annual Humane Society Chili Cookoff was a big success. Thank you to everyone who showed up and voted! Crossroads Band was excellent, and the beer truck was well-stocked with delicious Blue Point and Monday Night Brewing beers to enjoy with your chili. The People’s Choice award went to Summit Racing, and First Prize in the Judge’s Choice contest went to PetroSouth.
Kitchen Drawer represented again this year with our Blue Moon Chili. And Todd Gardner from Liberty Technology brought the heat with his “Dr. Gonzo’s Wild Ride” Chili (made with the notorious Carolina Reaper hot pepper). If you didn’t get a chance to attend this year’s event, be sure to make plans for next year’s. It’s always a great community event, benefiting a great local cause. The Humane Society of Griffin provides foster homes to animals in need, before finding new, permanent homes for them.Here are some of our favorite moments from Saturday - photographed by Michelle Cobb
