SPALDING COUNTY EXTENSION OFFERS FREE RADON AWARENESS PROGRAM JANUARY 30, 2017 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Radon, an odorless, tasteless, invisible gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. Of the homes tested for radon gas in Spalding County, 29% - 35% had unhealthy levels. Learn how you can protect yourself and your family from this potential health risk. UGA Radon Educator, Gabrielle Dean, will explain radon, the health risks associated with radon gas and answer any questions you might have about radon. The program will be held at the UGA Spalding County Extension Office, 835 Memorial Drive Griffin, GA 30223.
